It would be easy to find out which neighborhoods have roadside recycling pick up and just leave your paper etc. in the cloak of night. I know that the Inman Sq side of Mass Ave in Cambridge has it Wednesday night (unless there was a holiday earlier in the week pushing everything back a day or so) for pick-up Thursday morning... and my area of Somerville has it Tuesday night for Wednesday pick-up.
