A light rainstorm settled into town on Friday night. The drops felt like a cold sigh on my face

With no mention of a beautiful dame-in-distress showing up at your office, ostensibly needing your help but eventually using you as the fall guy for her husband's murder, it seems somehting is missing from this entry.
